About

I am a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY24780) and received my doctorate degree from the California School of Professional Psychology, an American Psychological Association accredited program renown for clinical training. I specialize in individual adult and couples therapy with a clinical focus on relationship issues, addiction & recovery, friends and family of addicts/alcoholics (i.e. co-dependency, adult children of alcoholics), phase of life transitions, self-esteem/self-image concerns, and depression. Regarding my pre and post doctoral work, I have gained experience with school-based, outpatient, and residential treatment and have worked with children, adolescents, individual adults, couples, families, and groups.

Prior to relocating to San Diego, I maintained a private practice in Santa Monica and Beverly Hills. Currently, I continue to work in my private practice in La Jolla while contracting at Center for Healthy Change, Change with Direction, and San Diego Student Recovery.

Regarding the therapeutic process, I believe it can be an invigorating, challenging, and illuminating journey in which you have the chance to learn more about yourself, your approach and perspective on life, as well as the dynamics in important relationships. Throughout the therapy process, my clients are viewed through a lens of strength where common life dilemmas are seen as an opportunity to develop a stronger capacity for personal understanding and connection.

In a safe and supportive atmosphere, I help my clients to build upon their individual strengths and enhance self-awareness in order to foster growth and the ability to cope with life’s inevitable challenges. Further, my work encourages the exploration of personal values and beliefs as a way to help define the Self and increase the ability to become more connected to others.

With understanding and dedication, I help clients work through their unique struggles in order to develop healthier, more fulfilling ways of life and nurture deeper and more intimate relationships.
